All White Everything

Sweater:  Club Monaco, Jeans:  7FAM, Sandals:  Loeffler Randall, Bag:  3.1 Phillip Lim, Sunnies:  Ray-Ban

Hello and TGIF! It's been a crazy but fun week. I started my new job and I LOVE it. I feel as though I'm back in my element.

On that note, I'm a woman of few words today. I wish everyone a fun and relaxing weekend. I'm hoping to be able to squeeze in a trip to the winery with the hubs.

What are your weekend plans?

Movin' On Up

Blazer:  Nordstrom, Top:  J.Crew (old, this year's version here), Jeans:  Zara (LOVE this similar option), Shoes:  Aldo (very old, great alternative here), Bag:  Forever 21 (similar), Sunnies:  Forever 21 (sold out, similar here)

This holiday weekend couldn't come soon enough. I'm sure you're thinking, 'Wait, wasn't she just on vacation?!?' Well yes, this is true. But this month has been super busy and stressful at times.

...And I'm so happy to announce that the hard work has paid off.

I recently applied for a new position within my company and I GOT THE JOB!!!

I start next week. My new position is Sales and Customer Care Trainer ~ pretty much my dream job. I finally have the opportunity to combine my love for teaching with my passion for fashion.

So again, I apologize for the super sporadic posting, but I owed it to myself to give the interview process my undivided attention.

I hope everyone has a wonderfully relaxing Memorial Day weekend!

Look Familiar?

Blazer:  Zara (old, similar here), Top:  Zara (recent, loving this one), Skort:  Zara (old, identical here), Shoes:  Steve Madden (obsessed with these), Bag:  Sophie Hulme, Sunnies:  Ray-Ban

I'd venture to guess that some variation of this skort has been featured on about 90% of fashion blogs  over the past year. Yes, there are certain pieces every season that quickly become cult classics among the blogging community {i.e. Rockstud pumps, these sandals, this clutch, this oversized scarf, etc.}.

While many of us are on a quest for originality, sometimes repetition is unavoidable. Especially with a piece this versatile and comfy.

Does this over exposure deter me from wearing one of my summer favorites? Not really, instead I seek to be unique in the way I style it. Today I decided to make it office appropriate paired with my favorite pink blazer and striped lace shell.

Happy Monday everyone!

Southern Charm {Part II}

Dress:  J.Crew (old, similar here under $30!, alternate colors here), Shoes:  J.Crew, Bag:  Sophie Hulme, Sunnies:  Ray-Ban

My transition back into the daily grind has been a slow one. I know I'm not alone when I say I feel like I need a vacation after my vacation. And as the temperature has not risen above 70 since we have been back, I'm definitely Carolina dreamin'.

Anyhow, enough whining for a Thursday. See a few more pictures from vacation below. My husband and I made a conscious effort to enjoy Charleston through our eyes, rather than through the camera lens.

This resulted in about 200 fewer vacation pictures than we normally snap, but I'm okay with that. We really enjoyed every minute and took it all in.

Southern Charm {Part I}

Dress:  Free People, Shoes:  Schutz (sold out, great option here), Bag:  Sophie Hulme (also love this color), Sunnies:  Ray-Ban, Earrings: old (similar here)

Hello, and happy Tuesday! I'm back from South Carolina completely refreshed and ready to jump back into the daily grind.

Vacation was just what the doctor ordered. We lucked out with the perfect weather. It was 85 and sunny every day ~ quite a luxury after the brutal winter/chilly spring we have been having in NJ.

Top: Revolve Clothing (very old, similar here), Shorts:  Lilly Pulitzer, Shoes:  J.Crew (old, LOVE this pair), Bag:  C.Wonder (this year's version here)

It was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. We saw the sights, soaked up the sun, and indulged in some fine foods and spirits.

For anyone who has never been to Charleston, I highly recommend. So different from NYC, and such a beautiful historical city.

Just ask this guy ~ he completely agrees with me. Hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far!

Lucy You Have Some Splanin to Do

As you have probably noticed, my posting frequency has significantly dwindled in the past few weeks. Apologies for this. I have been SUPER busy at the job working on some projects I hope to be able to share with you soon. I finally tied up all loose ends on Wednesday, and was off to Charleston, SC Thursday morning where I find myself at the moment.

Just a VERY**MUCH**NEEDED long weekend vacation.

Stick with me and I promise some good things to come.

In the meantime, I hope everyone has a wonderful, relaxing weekend.

{a recent shopping trip with my oh-so-fabulous mother}

Happy Mother's Day to my wonderful Mother and Mother-in-law, and to all of the other mothers out there.

See ya'll on Tuesday!

What to Buy the Woman Who Has It All

Sweater: Lexington Company (borrowed), Shirt:  J.Crew (old, loving this one), Jeans:  Zara (old, similar here), Shoes:  Aldo (very old, great option here for $20!), Bag:  c/o Lexington Company, iPhone case on a chain: Chanel, Sunnies:  Ray-Ban

With Mother's Day right around the corner, I always begin to panic. Not only do I need a gift idea for my mother, but of course I need one for my mother-in-law as well.

If I ask what they want, the standard answer from both? "Please don't get me anything, I don't need anything." Worst answer ever ~ no help at all!

That was until they noticed my new bag. I kid you not, they both commented on how much they loved it ~ done and done ~ looks like I know exactly what I'm getting for both of the special ladies in my life.

Do you know what you will be buying your mother for Mother's Day?

Resort Ready

Top:  August Silk (borrowed), Jeans:  Zara (old, similar here), Espadrilles: J.Crew, Bag:  Forever 21 (old, similar here), Sunnies:  Forever 21 (similar here

As my date of departure nears, I'm attempting to organize by gathering my favorite vacation pieces.

Much like last year's long weekend getaway, I vowed to only bring a carry on. Yup, you heard me correctly, I will not be bringing my standard three bags {one suitcase exclusively for shoes}. However,  I welcome the challenge as it forces me to choose wisely and only bring things I'm certain that I will wear.

Easy tops that can transition day-to-night ~ like this August Silk number ~ are a must.

I also picked up these comfy J.Crew espadrilles, and I'm kinda obsessed. It's like a fiesta on my feet!

The remaining contents of my cute little carry on? Well, you'll just have to wait to see the pictures.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
