The French Hen Strikes {Again}

Sweater:  J.Crew, Skirt:  The Limited (similar here), Bag:  J.Crew (similar here), Shoes:  Classiques Entier via Nordstrom ~ on sale!!!, Necklace:  Forever 21

I've been wearing this sweater way too much not to give it another go-around.  It's so versatile and I get a ton of compliments every time I wear it.

I promise after this post to keep it cooped up for a bit ~ hehe!

Band Camp

Jacket:  Forever 21 (old, similar here), Jeans:  J.Brand, Shoes:  Christian Louboutin (budget friendly version here), Clutch:  Vintage Dior wallet {borrowed from my mom} (similar here), sunnies:  Ray-Ban

I LOVE the cut and the detail of this band jacket that I purchased years ago from Forever 21.  It never goes out of syle and makes me feel so regal when I'm wearing it.

And it's so jazzy that I don't need a lot of accessories.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week!

The Truth About Date Night

Blazer:  Aritzia (similar here), Tee:  Urban Outfitters, Skirt:  Madewell, Necklace:  Helen Ficalora, Bag:  Rebecca Minkoff, Shoes:  Zara (similar here) Belt:  Forever 21, Nails:  Essie "Sole Mate"

Once in a while {ok, once I week} I have those days where I look in my closet and think 'I have nothing to wear'.  This, of course, is a ridiculous thought as I am staring at a closet full of clothes.  Some days it's just hard to get dressed.

I thought I would take you on a stroll through one of these days.

The first two pictures show how my outfit started out.  I had my heart set on wearing my new Madewell metallic skirt, and although it looked perfectly fine, I just wasn't feeling the white tee on this particular day.

So...

I threw on this short-sleeve turtle-neck knit top and a pair of flats.

Top:  Anthropologie (similar here), Cuff:  Unknown (identical cuff here), Flats:  C-Label

...but then I looked like I was going to work rather than going out to dinner so I threw the heels back on and spiced up the outfit a bit with this leopard print silk tee.

Top:  Anthropologie (similar here), Shoes:  Aldo (similar here)

And VOILA ~ ready for dinner!

Finger Lakes Photo Diary: Part III

Top:  Madewell (simlar here under $10!!), Pants:  J.Crew (old, similar here), Shoes:  Old Navy (old, similar here), Belt:  Madewell, Bag:  Rebecca Minkoff

A few final photographs from our weekend away.  The picture above is of the beautiful victorian style B&B we stayed at.  Our hosts, Renee and Chris, were the most hospitable people.  The rooms were cozy and private and immaculately clean.  Each morning we were served a three-course gourmet breakfast.  We couldn't have been happier with our choice of accomodations.

As per our usual, my husband and I have no pictures of us together ~ the only downfall of a getaway for two.

Finger Lakes Photo Diary: Part II

Jacket:  Anthropologie (old, similar here), Scarf:  Aritzia (old, similar here), Sweater:  Madewell, Jeans:  J Brand, Boots:  Anthropologie (old, similar here, here, here)

My husband and I are not the type to sit and relax the entire time when we are on vacation.  We prefer to explore the areas we visit.  I'm not usually very outdoorsy, but on this crisp autumn day I couldn't resist going for a walk through Watkins Glen State Park.

It's hard to believe that this was all done by glaciers ~ the way the gorge is carved out is just breathtaking!  Our walk was quite romantic :)

My husband and I took a mini-vacay this past weekend to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary in the Finger Lakes, upstate NY.  We stayed at a B&B for the first time and it exceeded our expectations.

We have so many beautiful pictures that I decided to split them into three posts.

The pictures in this post are from the day of our wine tour.  We were able to visit 12 different wineries & breweries thanks to our wonderful tour guide, Sam.  He was extremely knowledgeable about the area and helped to steer us in the right direction.
