The Bug

Happy Tuesday everyone!

I hope you all enjoyed a Valentine's Day filled with love, and a relaxing day off yesterday.

First and foremost, I want to apologize for the delay in revealing my Uncommon Goods giveaway winner. I intended on posting yesterday, however, fell behind schedule after being sick with the stomach bug all weekend.

~Yuck~

I learned that the only thing worse than having the stomach bug, is having it when you are pregnant. Feeling so much better today, thank goodness!

Now without further adieu, my giveaway winner is...

a Rafflecopter giveaway
Congratulations Emma! I will be contacting you shortly. Thank you to everyone who entered.

More outfit posts to come shortly!

Surprise!

Cardigan coat:  c/o Sheinside, Sweater:  Gap (old, similar here), Jeans:  H&M maternity (non-maternity version here, also love this pair), Bag:  3.1 Phillip Lim, Shoes:  Madewell (old, love this similar alternative), Hat:  Anthropologie (sold out in cream, similar here)

If you've been thinking I've been looking a bit rounder in my mid-section these days, you are absolutely correct.

Our baby girl is due to arrive in June and we could not be happier. After a long journey filled with many ups and downs, we feel extremely blessed. I'm 21 weeks along and have had a wonderful pregnancy thus far.

For a second little surprise, scroll down to find out who won my Bip & Bop giveaway.

Congrats Prasert! I will be contacting you shortly. Thank you everyone for entering, and stay tuned for another fabulous giveaway coming soon!

Love is in the Air

Coat:  Zara (old, similar here), Skirt:  Urban Outfitters (old, similar here), Top:  Gap, Bag:  French Connection, Beanie:  Urban Outfitters, Tights:  Hue, Sunnies:  c/o Brickyard Buffalo

Although my husband told me I look ridiculous, I couldn't resist wearing these cheeky sunnies today. After all, love is in the air!

I feel completely refreshed and ready to face Friday after my first corporate snow day yesterday. Over the past couple of months, I've come to realize that companies are not as quick to close for inclement weather as schools are, and I have found myself braving the elements on several occasions. I was extremely surprised and elated to hear that we would be closed yesterday.

If you follow me on Instagram then you know I was all about DIY yesterday, and am especially proud of my festive mani!

Alright already ~ I'm sure you have had enough of my rambling, and are dying for me to reveal my giveaway winner. So without further adieu,  the winner is...

Congratulations Sara! I will be contacting you shorty. Thank you so much to everyone who entered my giveaway, and I hope everyone has a wonderful, romantic Valentine's Day.

Whoa, has this been a busy week {and by week I mean month}.  I'm finally able to share with you something exciting that's been going on in my life.
For quite some time now, I've been thinking of making a career change.  While I love teaching and working with children, I feel that it's just not what I'm truly passionate about.  At the end of the school year this year, I had a meeting with my boss where he explained that the aides' hours were being cut {significantly} district wide.
Naturally, I was upset, but at the same time I knew this was exactly the push I needed to get out there and make a change.
My next question:  where do I even begin looking?  I decided to combine my business degree with my passion for fashion.  I updated my resume and started sending it out everywhere {and I seriously mean EVERYWHERE}.
A few short weeks later I started getting responses and going on interviews, some of which thankfully turned into second interviews.
And so ~ to make a long story even longer ~ I'm happy to say that I accepted a position in the luxury fashion industry and started this past Monday.
I fully intend to continue writing and publishing Classroom Couture, although it may evolve a bit {and I'm not sure yet what to do about the name}.  I'm so thankful for my wonderful followers, and for your continued support as I embark on this new chapter in my life.

And now without further adieu, the winner of my Sunglassesshop.com giveaway is...

Congratulations Julie! I'll be contacting you shortly.  Thank you to everyone who entered and stay tuned because I have another giveaway coming up early next week!

Farmer's Market

Dress:  Zara (cute option here), Bag:  C.Wonder (sold out, similar here, here), Shoes:  H&M (old, similar here, here for a pricy but chic option), Sunnies:  Ray-Ban, Hat:  Urban Outfitters (old, similar here)
I wore this on Sunday for brunch and a trip to the farmer's market.  The weather was perfect and so was this simple ensemble.  This dress is so easy breezy and my tote was the perfect size to hold all of our farmer's market finds.  You will definitely be seeing a lot more of this easy throw-on-and-go dress as summer goes on.

On another note, thank you so much to everyone who entered my giveaway.  Now, for the moment you have all been waiting for...

Congrats Robin ~ I will be contacting you shortly via email!

And the Winner Is...

Blazer:  Anthropologie (very old, similar here), Top:  Madewell, Jeans:  H&M (love this pair), Shoes:  Classiques Entier via Nordstrom (old, similar here), Bag:  J.Crew (old, similar here, obsessed with this one), Belt:  H&M (similar here), Bracelet:  Anthropologie (old, similar here), Sunnies:  Ray-Ban
As much as I'm trying to push the issue, spring has just not sprung in NJ.  In fact, mother nature seems to be punishing me for trying to defy her with my pastels and peep-toes.  So for now, bye-bye bare legs, back to tights and pants!
And now the moment you've all been waiting for...click HERE to see if you won the Seychelles Shoes giveaway ~ thank you to all of those who entered.
Stay tuned readers because I have another giveaway coming up early next week!
