My husband and I took our nephews skating this past weekend ~ *correction* ~ my husband skated with them while I watched. He played ice hockey in high school and is extremely graceful and light on his feet. My nephews who are 3 and 5 years old, take skating lessons and in my opinion are both on their way to the NHL. I, on the other hand, have a hard enough time walking on solid ground. And, no, they were not actually "skating on thin ice" as the post title implies, but "skating on a perfectly safe frozen solid pond" did not have the same ring to it.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful week!
I've seen this flannel alot lately but they way you styled it is exceptional. Love it!!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much! It's a great flannel and I wear it waaaaay too often!
DeleteLove the idea of layering two shirts like this - I have this same plaid one and love/wear it to death! :)

Kimberly ~ thank you ~ I have seen it on your blog {I think you layered it under a sweater} and love how you styled it also!
DeleteI was so upset to see that the plaid shirt was sold out from J.crew but I cannot wait to order the Timberland one it is almost identical to the J.crew one! Yay!

Glad you liked my alternative, Liz ~ it was the closest look-alike I could find :)
DeleteLove the look of layered plaid & chambray! If you can't skate, at least you can look super stylish watching the boys on the ice - and that's the important part ;)
ReplyDeleteSo glad I found you through the blogger collective pin board!

DeleteLove the layered button downs! I never remember to do that! Since I own that J Crew plaid I may have to try it with chambray ;)
ReplyDeleteChristine In Color
Thanks Christine ~ layering is essential for the cold temps in NJ!! This day was actually above freezing but if it was super-cold, I probably would have even added a slim-fitting turtleneck under the shirts!!
DeleteLove this, mixing plaid and chambray is so chic.
