Playing Cat And Mouse

Coat: Bloomingdales (very very old, great option here), Top:  Anthropologie (old similar here), Skirt:  Topshop, Boots:  Miss Sixty (very old, similar pair here, budget-friendly option here), Bag:  Rebecca Minkoff, Tights:  Hue

Ok, admittedly not my most creative costume to date. I wore this costume {and yes, I use the word costume loosely} to a Halloween party this past Saturday. Some of our friends thought I was a cat, probably because of the leopard print coat, while other's guessed I was a mouse. While I intended to be a mouse, I settled for a cat/mouse hybrid. Either way, I was warm and looked cute and we had a really good time catching up with friends.

Hope everyone has a happy and safe Halloween tomorrow!

Leaf Me Alone

Jacket:  Forever 21 (old, similar here), Sweater:  Gap (old, this year's version), Jeans:  Citizens of Humanity, Shoes:  Sam Edelman c/o South Moon Under, Bag:  Forever 21, Ring:  H&M (recent, similar here), Nails:  OPI "Into the Night"

I know the days of beautiful fall foliage are numbered, so I'm trying to make the most of it while it lasts. As you have probably realized, my leopard obsession has reached an all time high. I'm not entirely proud of it, but I just can't stop myself. My latest addition ~ these kitten-heeled stunners. While I typically like a much higher heel, it's nice to give my feet a reprieve every once in a while.

Happy Monday!

KiKi La'Rue

Cape:  Vintage (great alternative here), Top:  c/o KiKi La'Rue, Pants:  AG Jeans, Clutch:  Vintage (similar here), Shoes:  Madewell ~ available soon (LOVE this pair), Necklace:  c/o KiKi La'Rue

Hello and HAPPY FRIDAY! I apologize for the hiatus this week.
Blogging is tough this time of year. I leave the house in the morning before the sun rises and by the time my photographer (hubby) gets home, it's dark out again leaving no time for pictures.

Thank goodness for my wonderful sister-in-law who snapped these fabulous photos for me yesterday. With three kids who are the most adorable handful, she somehow always finds time for some good ole' sisterly bonding!

On another note, I'm happy to introduce to you a website I recently discovered, KiKi La'Rue. The name alone just insinuates a good time. They have wide variety of the season's hottest trends at fabulous prices. On top of that, they offer a vast assortment of regular and plus size items, so there's something for everyone. Be sure to stop by and visit their site HERE.

To Top It All Off

Sweater:  Aritzia (old, great option here, here), Top:  Forever 21 (old, similar here), Jeans:  Rag & Bone, Hat:  Anthropologie - available in store (similar here), Boots:  Anthropologie (old, similar here), Clutch: c/o GiGi New York, Nails:  OPI "In the Cable Car-Pool Lane"

As you can see hat collection/obsession is rapidly increasing. There is something so appealing about being able to look cute without having to wash or even brush my hair. Not to mention, it's just one more fabulous way to accessorize!

I also want to profess my love for my this gorgeous clutch. I wore it to a wedding over the weekend and have never gotten so many compliments on a bag. Perfect size to fit ALL of the necessities and the color is just luscious (not to mention, it matched my mani perfectly).

Happy Monday!

Pajama Dressing

Blazer & Pants:  Aritzia (old, similar blazer here, and pants here), Top:  Zara (old, similar here), Shoes:  Valentino, Bag:  Rebecca Minkoff, Necklace:  Helen Ficalora

These pants are beyond comfortable. Perfect for a day when you don't feel like getting out of bed, or for a casual Friday.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Blazer & A Silk Tee

Blazer:  Aritzia (old, great alternative here), Top:  Anthropologie (old, LOVE this one), Jeans:  Forever 21 (old, similar here), Shoes:  Classiques Entier (old, similar under $30 here, identical but pricier here), Bag:  Forever 21 (similar), Sunnies:  Ray-Ban

I've had this animal print silk tee for years and I never tire of it. I love how it layers so easily under a blazer and can also be worn on it's own. The silhouette is that of a simple v-neck tee, but the material and print make it an easy day-to-night transition piece.

Happy hump day!

South Moon Under

Shopping in NJ just got even better ladies {and gents- yes, they carry men's clothing too}. Welcome one of my favorite online boutiques, South Moon Under, to Westfield, NJ.
Unfortunately, the new job has me working hard and I'm unable to attend the grand opening event this Thursday evening from 5-8pm, but I'll be there in shop-a-holic spirit.
Check out some of my favorites from their fabulous selection of designer brands:

Happy Shopping!

High-Waisted

Top:  Anthropologie (old, similar here), Skirt:  c/o eShakti, Shoes:  Christian Louboutin, Bag:  Target
As you know if you have been following me for any length of time, I'm a huge fan of all things high-waisted. I have a very short torso, and therefore wearing high-waisted clothing makes me look elongated and more in proportion.
Using eShakti's custom fit service, I was able create the perfect fit for this super high-waisted number.
Happy Monday!

Six Down, Sixty To Go...

Although I don't normally post an anniversary picture, I felt compelled to do so this year.

Happy six year wedding anniversary to the man behind the camera, my best friend, my support system, my biggest fan, my everything.

I love you Sean.

Industrial

Blazer:  J.Crew (this year's version here), Jeans:  Citizens of Humanity, Shoes:  Valentino, Bag:  Rebecca Minkoff, Scarf:  Aritzia (old, similar here)
My husband and I stopped at this asphalt factory on the way home from Sunday brunch last week. It's strange how photo inspiration can come at the oddest time and in the strangest places. The cold feel of the quiet factory matched the chilly fog in the air, and offered the perfect contrast to the warm feel of the camel blazer and plush leopard scarf.
I'm off from work tomorrow, giving me & the hubs the perfect three-day weekend to celebrate our six-year wedding anniversary.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

The Mint Tulip Boutique

Being a {self/husband proclaimed} shop-a-holic in the 21st century is a really hard addiction to curb.  There are sooo many ways to spend money readily available at your fingertips without leaving the comfort of your own home {or your desk at work}.  While I'm always trying to find ways to control my compulsion, I think the universe has a different idea because I recently discovered a new way to satisfy my shoppping addiction:  Facebook, namely, The Mint Tulip.

What makes it even more compelling is the fact that this fabulous boutique has new stock every week.  Beginning on Sundays at 8pm CST, items are posted with available sizes.  The first shoppers to comment on the item {depending on how many sizes are listed} win the item.  Best part?  Shipping is FREE!
Items sell out quickly so be sure to visit The Mint Tulip and be on the lookout Sundays 8pm CST for new arrivals!

**Disclosure:  This is a sponsored post ~ all opinions are my own.

Flippin' The Bird

Sweater:  J.Crew (see this year's version here), Skirt:  Topshop via Nordstrom, Jacket:  Madewell, Shoes:  Classiques Entier (old, similar here under $30!), Bag:  Rebecca Minkoff
The bird is back.
It's always exciting digging clothes that you haven't seen all summer out of the winter storage bins. It makes last year's favorites feel new again.
Happy Monday!

Hello, October

Sweater:  J.Crew, Pants:  Forever 21 (old, similar here, LOVE this pair), Shoes:  Zara, Bag:  Unknown (similar here, loving this one)
For me, the color grey and the month of October go together like peanut butter and jelly. There is nothing more beautiful than the changing leaves against a grey sky. The type of weather that puts you in the mood for wine tasting, apple picking, and hot apple cider.
I must note, however that this is not the weather we have been experiencing lately in NJ. We have gone almost 2 weeks without rain and it's been sunny and 75-80 every day. I'll take the San Diego-esque weather while it lasts because there is plenty of time for crisp grey days.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Grey Suede Shoes

Top:  Joe Fresh (old, similar here, here), Skirt:  H&M (recent, LOVE LOVE LOVE this similar version from Zara), Shoes:  Zara, Bag:  Target

Loving these asymmetric grey suede stunners. Oh, and how adorable is this skirt that I picked up the other day for under $30 at H&M?!?

Happy hump day!
