Dress:  Talularosa, Bag:  Forever 21 (old, similar here), Sandals:  Loeffler Randall (identical here under $30!), Earrings:  Baublebar, Sunnies:  Ray-Ban

I had never heard of Tularosa before spotting this black eyelet number on Revolve Clothing the other day, but it was definitely love at first sight. I love the fit & flare silhouette. Not to mention, I'm always looking for dresses with sleeves for fall/winter. Yet another piece that I definitely plan on pairing with booties for fall.

Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend!

Bachelorette Bash

Blazer:  Helmut Lang ~ on sale! (more sizes here), Tee:  Splendid, Shorts:  Zara (old, similar here), Clutch:  unknown (similar here, also here), Sandals:  J.Crew, Sunnies:  Forever 21 (similar here)

{Photography by Madison Royle}

I am running on very little sleep this weekend ~ thanks to my cousin's bachelorette bash ~ so I'm keeping this one short and sweet.

This is one of the many weekends where I could have REALLY used a day between Saturday and Sunday.

Happy Monday!

Sweater:  Forever 21, Skort:  Zara (old, identical here, also here under $20!), Bag:  Rebecca Minkoff, Shoes:  Zara (old, similar here), Sunnies:  Ray-Ban

My hometown mascot is a Thunderbird...

...and my hometown colors are icy blue and white.

Putting this outfit together and looking in the mirror definitely took me on a trip down memory lane.

Go T-Birds!

Shorts & Stripes

Top:  Anthropologie (old, similar here), Shorts:  Bec & Bridge (almost identical here for under $30!), Bag:  3.1 Phillip Lim, Shoes:  Burberry Prorsum (budget friendly option here), Sunnies:  Forever 21 (similar here)

While {as I mentioned on Monday} I am definitely trying to milk every last outfit from my summer wardrobe, I can't help but think about which pieces will make a seamless transition into fall.

These shorts are at the top of my list. I look forward to wearing them with booties, and eventually tights {once my my bronzy glow begins to fade}.

What summer pieces will you be wearing into fall?

Right Around the Corner

Sweater:  Club Monaco ~ on sale! (another great option here), Jeans:  J.Crew (old, similar here), Bag:  Sophie Hulme, Shoes:  Tibi (also here), Sunnies:  Ray-Ban

The weather this weekend was beautiful, yet unseasonably cold for August in NJ ~ a little reminder from Mother Nature that fall is right around the corner.

And as excited as I am for fall fashion, I will stick to summer styles for as long as I can.

Happy Monday everyone!

My yellow dress fit in perfectly with the green, blue and red Adirondack chairs in our yard, completing the primary color scheme.

I picked up these shoes on major sale at Barneys a few weeks back, and I'm completely obsessed. I obviously NEEDED another pair of tan shoes in my extensive collection {detect the sarcasm}, but the price was just too good to pass up.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Oh, Oh, Those Summer Nights

Dress:  Anthropologie (old, loving this similar optionthis one too), Bag:  C.Wonder (old, similar here), Sandals:  J.Crew, Sunnies:  Ray-Ban

I feel that summer is just slipping out from under me ~ let's face it, it always goes so fast ~ so my husband and I have made it our mission to make the most out of the remaining summer nights {and weekends}.

This picture was snapped this past weekend at the beach during a leisurely early-evening stroll on the boardwalk. The weather was beyond perfect, and so was the ocean. The kind of weekend that you never want to end.

My husband practically had to drag me off the beach yesterday. Tonight I look forward to an after dinner drink in our Adirondack chairs overlooking the lake.

Happy Monday everyone!

Our Little Secret

Dress:  Anthropologie (old, similar here, here), Belt:  Forever 21 (similar here), Bag:  c/o Lexington Company (similar here), Shoes:  Zara (old, similar here), Sunnies:  Ray-Ban

I am playing hooky as we speak, and am on my way down the shore for the weekend.

But shhhhhhh - our little secret.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Basic Ribbed Tank

Top:  James Perse, Skirt: c/o eShakti (similar here, also here), Bag:  Sophie Hulme, Shoes:  Burberry Prorsum, Sunnies:  Ray-Ban

Kid you not ~ I've had this James Perse tank since college. I own it in black and white, and wear both colors frequently. It's truly amazing that they have held up all these years.

I remember in college ~ when I was broke and spent all my money on beer ~ I would wear these tanks to the bars almost every night. They worked perfectly with a pair of low-rise jeans.

Although my style has certainly evolved over the years, it's nice to know that the foundation remains the same.

Happy hump day everyone!

Mix & Match Fashion

It's All About the Presentation

Blazer:  Helmut Lang (budget-friendly version here), Top:  Tibi, Pants:  J.Crew (old, LOVING this pair), Bag:  Target, Shoes:  Christian Louboutin (less expensive option here), Sunnies:  Ray-Ban

As most of you know {if you have been following me through the crazy/fun journey that is my career} I was promoted about three months ago.

I am now part of the training and development team at my company, and my main focus is new hire training. While I have already trained my first group of new hires, today I will be presenting my first sales training workshop that I developed myself.

So in the words of Cher, I had to find my most responsible-looking ensemble.

A perfectly-tailored blazer does the trick every time.

Wish me luck!

Happy Monday!
