Saturday Morning Spotlight

As you all know, I don't usually post on Saturdays, but today I had to give a big shout out and "thank you" to Morgan Robertson of WAKE UP YOUR WARDROBE for the lovely blogger spotlight feature she did about Classroom Couture.
Not only is she a totally adorable Southern Belle {from Nashville, TN}, but she is an elementary school teacher by day.  A fashionista on a teacher's salary = woman after my own heart.
Be sure to visit her blog here!

What Women Want

Top:  H&M (Love this scoop-back version for under $10!!), Skirt:  c/o eShakti, Shoes:  Christian Louboutin, Bag:  Unknown (OBSESSED with this one), Bracelet:  Spike the Punch, Sunnies:  Ray-Ban
Last week I showed you my favorite picks from a fabulous website called eShakti.com.  I was over the moon when I received this skirt.  Not only does it fit like a glove but I used their custom styling tool to alter the length.  Originally the skirt was below the knee, but I wanted something that I could not only wear to work but could also wear for some spring showers/parties.  I was extremely pleased with my choice to shorten it.  Best part:  eShakti has kindly offered an exclusive discount for Classroom Couture readers.  Check out their new spring arrivals here and use CLSSRMCTRE code for 20% off of your entire order!

In addition eShakti is hosting a "What Do Women Want?" contest.  THREE winners will be chosen to win $150 eShakti gift card.  Be sure to enter today ~ click here for full details!

Color My World

Trench:  Bloomingdales (old, similar here ~ 30% off with code BRTAKE30), Blouse:  J.Crew (old, LOVING this year's version), Skirt:  The Limited (old, similar here), Bag:  Forever 21, Shoes:  Christian Louboutin, Sunnies:  Target, Earrings:  Tory Burch, Necklace:  Etsy (similar here for $8)

I was feeling very colorful yesterday even though the weather didn't seem to be sharing my feelings.  The title comes not only from my vibrant outfit, but was inspired by my in-law's wedding song "Color My World" by Chicago.
On that same colorful note, I wanted to share with you my spring picks from a fabulous website, eShakti.  The thing that sets them apart from other online sites is their innovative customization tools. You can plug in your measurements for a perfect fit, and can change the length/neckline/sleeve-length of their garments!  See my review of one of their dresses here ~ fits like a glove :)
AND...from now until March 20, use code CLSSRMCTRE for 20% off your entire order!!!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week!

Work and Play

Blazer:  Aritzia (old, great alternative here), Top:  Anthropologie, Jeans:  Forever 21, Bag:  Anthropologie (similar here), Shoes:  Valentino, Bracelet:  Nordstrom, Sunnies:  Ray-Ban, Earrings:  Anthropologie
I picked up this blouse the other day at Anthropologie and immediately started thinking of the many different ways I was going to wear it.  I love the crocheted collar detail and the way the blouse looks fabulous both untucked with jeans and tucked tightly into a high waisted skirt.  It is yet another piece that will be easy to transition to warmer weather.
Cardigan:  J.Crew, Skirt:  Bebe (very old, similar here), Laptop tote:  Target, Shoes:  Christian Louboutin, Bangle:  Forever 21 ~ stack of 7 for under $9!!!
P.S.  My new solution for the winter blues is to just ignore them and hope they go away.  The spots you see in the picture above are flurries.  That's right ~ bare legs and flurries.  I'm pretending that I'm not freezing cold and hoping by ignoring winter, it will just come to an end!
I'm sure by now that you are sick of seeing me wearing my Valentino rockstud pumps.  I do wear them a TON which is good because I'm trying to get my money's worth ~ plus ~ I haven't had a pedi since Thanksgiving so I'm sticking to close-toed until further notice!

Bad Romance

Blazer:  Aritzia (old, similar here ~ under $25!!), Blouse:  Aritzia (also old, similar here), Skirt:  Urban Outfitters, Bag:  Rebecca Minkoff, Shoes:  Seychelles (very old, similar here), Bangles:  Unknown (currently coveting this one), Nails:  Essie "Glamour Purse"
There's nothing bad about this romantic ensemble, but I {still} love the song and it sounded like an appropriate name for a blog post.
Happy Friday and I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
